Orijen for my puppy??
The breeder had her on Pro-Pac and I can’t get that here so I shopped around and picked Orijen so….
I bought the Orijen puppy. I know it is good and grain free but I read that it may be too high protein for puppies. I just got my dream dog…a little King Charles Cavalier Spaniel puppy *so happy* she is 3 months old and I don’t want to hurt her young system….so what do you guys think??
Orijen is a great food, so try her out on it and see how she does. Make sure she drinks plenty of water, the problem with high protein dry foods can be that the kidneys have a hard time processing the protein level without enough water. One of mine got a few UTIs on the higher protein grain-frees because he just wasn’t drinking enough water. I ended up going to a raw diet, as because of the water content, he doesn’t have the same problems on raw that he does on the high protein kibbles.
